KMHD will preempt programming at 7 p.m. all week with The message, the show Carlton has been doing since 2009. Friday will be 6-8pm.
Peter Dammann, who has played with him for decades, summed it up in a Facebook post today:
You gently led me into the groove, made me feel fearless, helped me become the best version of myself as a guitarist that I have ever been. Thank you for your grace, your wisdom, your humor, your generous genius. The five years of Monday night that you spent with us here changed me in a way that a decade later I’m still discovering. I will be eternally grateful for every moment I was able to spend with you on the bandstand, CJ. TO TEAR APART
When OMN launched our Coffeeshop Conversations podcast, Carlton was one of the first guests. It is a comfort to hear his voice.
